HEALING MANTRA

OM SHRI DHANVANTRE NAMAHA
(pr: Om Shree Dhahn-vahn-tray Nah-ma-hah)

I found this mantra in the excellent book, Shakti Mantras,  by Thomas Ashley-Farrand. This mantra is associated with Dhanvantari, the physician to the gods and the person who was responsible for giving the nectar of immortality to the gods. It translates roughly as Om and salutations to Dhanvantari. (If you wonder why Dhanvantre is spelled differently from Dhanvantari, the explanation is simple: Sanskrit grammar.)

There are two ways this mantra can be used. The first is to shed light on any medical problem or similar situation where you are not certain of the best way to proceed. Repeated twice daily for twenty minutes or so, the mantra helps you get a better understanding of the problem and what you can do about it. It can even shed light on issues like whether a medical problem is physical or psychosomatic. I have used this mantra myself on several occasions and can attest to its effectiveness.

The other way to use this mantra is to enhance your effectiveness as a therapist if you happen to be one. The use of the mantra will give you a better perspective on things you can do to improve your performance as a healer.
